DELFT TECH UNIVERSITY PROVIDES ANOTHER ADVANCED QUANTUM SYSTEM
QuTech and the Delft quantum ecosystem have launched Tuna-17, a new open-architecture superconducting quantum computer now available worldwide via the Quantum Inspire cloud platform. This 17-qubit system is free to use, offering researchers, students, and educators direct access to real quantum hardware and helping build the skilled workforce of the future.
The Tuna systems are designed with scalability in mind: Tuna-17 is the third system released in a year, with increasingly rapid iterations. With 24 tunable couplers and a universal gate set, it enables advanced experiments like quantum error correction and NISQ algorithms.

BREAKING: EQT’s New EU Scale-Up Fund Set to Lead Mistral AI’s €20bn Series D!
The European tech ecosystem just got a massive jolt: Mistral AI is reportedly in advanced talks to raise a staggering €3bn Series D, catapulting its valuation to €20bn!
According to Sifted’s Freya and Daphné, investment giant EQT is positioned to lead or co-lead this historic round. EQT will leverage the EU’s brand-new €5bn Scale-Up Fund, which it was selected to manage earlier this year. If the deal closes, this will mark the very first deployment from this landmark European fund.
Why This is a Massive Deal for Europe:
Skyrocketing Valuation: Jumping from an €11.7bn valuation last September to €20bn today, the French AI champion is nearly doubling its worth in under a year.
Hyper-Growth Trajectory: Mistral AI is fully on track to smash the €1bn ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) milestone this year.
Infrastructure Independence: Fresh off securing $830m in debt funding earlier this year, the company is doubling down on building its own data centers, aiming for a massive 1 gigawatt of capacity in Europe by 2030.
Europe is proving it has the firepower to build and scale world-class AI giants capable of going toe-to-toe with Silicon Valley.
