CDC Group has signed a 4-year general contract with integrator Sopra Steria, aiming to deploy AI-based services across multiple sectors. The partnership will also benefit BPI France, La Poste, Docaposte, and more. Key focuses include Generative AI and Agentic AI, with technologies like GEMINI, COPILOT, and OpenAI being leveraged alongside European solutions.

 

Photonics: STMicroelectronics Introduces PIC100 Platform for Data Centers

STMicroelectronics unveils its PIC100 photonic platform, designed to improve optical connections between data centers and AI clusters. This platform promises larger bandwidth, improved energy efficiency, and lower latency. Initially targeting hyperscaler facilities, the market for photonic interconnects is projected to grow 17% per year until 2030. STMicro is already working on the next-generation version of this platform.

 

AI Innovation: AMI Raises €890M to Challenge Classical LLMs

Paris-based startup AMI, led by Yann Le Cun, has raised €890M to develop AI models that outperform classical Large Language Models (LLMs) in reasoning, planning, and physical-world operations. The company has offices in New York, Singapore, and Montreal and attracts top-tier AI researchers globally.

 

BNP Paribas Launches HELLOÏZ v2 Chatbox Powered by Mistral AI

BNP Paribas upgrades its HELLO BANK service with HELLOÏZ v2, an AI chatbox based on Mistral AI. Tested with 10,000 customers, the system will now scale to 1 million users, helping them not only with information but also seamlessly handling transactions during conversations.
