OFFICE.eu officially launched on March 9, 2026. This 100% European-owned, cloud-based office suite offers an open-source alternative to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Built mainly on NextCloud Hub, it integrates:

  3. Calendar management

  4. Document management

  5. Video conferencing

Ignored by the French National Education Administration

Despite being fully operational, the French National Education Administration has decided to continue using Microsoft software until 2029, ignoring the European alternative and raising questions about digital sovereignty.

 

AI Regulation: Tensions Between the Trump Administration and Industry

Following the US Defense Secretary’s ban of ANTHROPIC from defense contracts due to the company’s refusal to deploy AI for mass surveillance or autonomous lethal systems a wave of controversy has emerged:

  • Anthropic is suing the US Defense Department over contract cancellation.

  • Experts, including Dean Ball (former Trump administration counselor) and researchers at King’s College London, warn that restricting AI innovation could increase risks of AI hallucinations, potentially impacting critical decisions in conflict scenarios, including nuclear operations.

  • Calls are rising for Congress to implement better AI regulations.
