It’s Here: Discover the European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026

European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026: A New Milestone for Europe’s Cyber Ecosystem

After several months of research, data collection, and in-depth analysis, the European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026 is now officially available.

Led by the European Champions Alliance, this new edition confirms the Mapping as a key reference for understanding and navigating Europe’s fast-evolving cybersecurity landscape.

A flagship initiative unveiled across Europe

The 2026 edition was officially revealed during two major launch events held in Paris on March 12 and in Berlin on March 19, hosted in partnership with IONOS Cloud.

These gatherings brought together start-ups, scale-ups, investors, corporates, and policymakers from across Europe, all united by a common ambition: strengthening Europe’s digital sovereignty and accelerating the development of its cybersecurity ecosystem.

The most comprehensive mapping of the European cyber landscape

Now in its sixth edition, the Mapping reaches a new level of maturity and impact:

  • Nearly 1,300 cybersecurity start-ups and scale-ups analyzed
  • Coverage across 24 European countries
  • A continuously refined methodology to ensure relevance and accuracy

Over the years, it has become a trusted tool for CISOs, policymakers, corporates, investors, and ecosystem builders, offering a clear and structured view of Europe’s cyber landscape.

A deeper focus on strategic technologies

The 2026 edition goes further than ever before, with enhanced analytical depth and an expanded scope covering critical domains shaping the future of cybersecurity:

  • Secure Artificial Intelligence
  • Post-quantum cybersecurity
  • Sovereign cloud
  • Industrial cybersecurity

As Andrea Vaugan explains:

“Europe has an incredibly rich cybersecurity ecosystem, but it remains too fragmented and not visible enough. The goal of this Mapping is to make it more readable, to highlight key players, and ultimately to help structure and strengthen the ecosystem.”

In line with this vision, Dominique Tessier adds:

“For the first time, the 2026 edition integrates segments such as secure AI and post-quantum cybersecurity. These are critical challenges for the years ahead, and it was essential to identify and map the European players already active in these fields.”

A collective European effort

The European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026 is the result of a strong collective dynamic, made possible thanks to the support of leading European partners including Atos, KuppingerCole, InCyber Forum, and IONOS Cloud.

It also benefits from the active contributions of key ecosystem players such as Xelera, Red Alert Labs, EclecticIQ, Advens, GitGuardian, Enclaive, Wallix, and Lancom Systems.

Together, these stakeholders contribute to building a stronger, more visible, and more structured European cybersecurity ecosystem.

More than a mapping: a strategic tool for Europe

Beyond offering a comprehensive overview, the Mapping provides:

  • A clear understanding of market dynamics
  • Insights into emerging trends
  • Identification of growth opportunities across Europe

It is designed to support decision-making, foster connections, and accelerate the growth of European cybersecurity champions.
