The European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026 Launch in Berlin
On March 19, 2026, the European cybersecurity community gathered in Berlin for a landmark evening dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and a shared vision for our continent’s digital future. Hosted by IONOS Cloud, the event served as the German launchpad for the European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026, a strategic roadmap featuring over 1,300 companies shaping the sector.
A Hub for European Champions
The evening brought together a powerful mix of startups, scale-ups, investors, and policymakers.
Insightful keynotes from experts like:
and Alejandro Leal,
underscored a critical message: Europe possesses world-class technical talent, but the challenge remains overcoming market fragmentation to compete with global leaders from the US and Israel.
The Strategic Verdict: AI and Defense
The event highlighted two major “gamechangers” now facing the industry:
- The AI Revolution: While attackers are using AI for more elusive strikes, European innovation in AI-driven anomaly detection is opening a vital window for new defensive capabilities.
- Cyber-Defense Convergence: Cybersecurity has never been closer to national defense. As our experts noted, “Europe cannot be truly independent without a strong defense industry the same is obviously true for cybersecurity.”
Beyond the Mapping
Special thanks go to Phillip Maasberg and the entire IONOS Cloud team for hosting and supporting this vital ecosystem.
The 2026 Mapping is more than a directory; it is a call to action to move from being a “Tech Market” to a “Tech Maker.”
By connecting innovators with the right corporate and political partners, we are building a stronger, more resilient European cyber community.
The journey continues – together.
The official European Cybersecurity Mapping 2026 will be revealed very soon.
