What is your vision for European Tech in 2021?

The time has come for European tech to become much more visible than in the last decades. Topics or trends such as the GDPR, global politics, and the rise of populism show that we need a strong and dynamic European tech ecosystem. Visibility is the key to impulse the network and feature the various solutions offered.

The strength of Europe is diversity, culture, languages, backgrounds, this has transpired into different solutions. Characterized by this diversity and multiplicity of stakeholders, Europe is on the verge of becoming the successful tech ecosystem it should be. Although there is a necessity in terms of cooperation and collaboration which is what we try to build at the ECA.
We need smart solutions to accelerate the collaboration. There are a lot of challenges: cybersecurity is a huge topic, mobility is an ongoing topic, green tech is a big trend.

In my daily work as a digital consultant, I feel that European solutions are rarely represented and therefore not taken into account when choosing a new provider, e.g. for systems such as CRM, CMS, or ERP.
